The main attraction at the West Clare School of English is our teachers. All our English Language coaches hold Bachelors Degrees and English Language qualifications approved by the Department of Education and Science in Ireland. The dedication of our teachers to providing excellent English lessons will ensure that you will learn a huge amount during your two weeks with us. On your first day at the West Clare School of English you will receive your course timetable detailing how your classes will be broken down into the core language skills of listening, reading, writing, grammar and most importantly, speaking . Our English lessons will always have a strong focus on students having the opportunity to speak English as much as possible. With a maximum of 12 students in each class, each student will benefit from a large amount of speaking time.
From 6 July 2009 to 17 July 2009: From 27 July 2009 to 7 August 2009: Each of the above courses offers 45 hours of English lessons, with each day broken down as follows: 9:30 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. ~~~~~~~Break~~~~~~ 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. ~~~~~~~Break~~~~~~~ 2.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. All students who wish to apply for the above courses need to confirm that they have taken the online placement test at http://www.uefap.com/test/default.htm and that they have acquired at least Level 2 (for pre-intermediate courses) or Level 3 (for upper-intermediate courses)". |

Michelle Morrissey, founder of The West Clare School of English, has extensive experience in education, having taught children, teenagers and adults. Michelle has obtained a Higher Diploma in Education from the National University of Ireland and a Certificate in English Language Teaching from the University of Cambridge. Michelle has also attained a Bachelors Degree (Hons) in Business and French from the University of Limerick and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. In setting up the West Clare School of English, Michelle has combined two of the dearest things in her life, her native village of Carrigaholt and her love of teaching.
